Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Nursing home


Area of Specialization: Recreational therapy


Specific Skills: Initiate, design and implement specialized therapy programs


Security and Safety: Criminal record check


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Combination of sitting, standing, walking


Essential Skills: Reading text, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning


Other Information:Term position expires subject to 24 hrs notice. Experience with geriatric & disabled individuals is required. Other benefits include pension plan and $1.35 per hour shift premium for weekend shifts.
