Title: Compassionate Care Home & Hospital Health Services Registered psychiatric nurse (r.p.n.)  

Terms of Employment: Casual, Full Time, On Call, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening

Salary: $28.00 to $32.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Winnipeg and Area, Manitoba (5 vacancies ) 

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse by the province of work, CPR certification


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English, Not applicable


Work Setting: Hospital, Community health clinic or centre, Government institution, Home care and visiting care agency, Industrial establishment, Nursing or convalescent home, Youth center


Area of Specialization: General duty, Community, Home care, Medical unit, Mental health


Specific Skills: Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, Collaborate to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care, Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, Provide nursing care, Manage home care cases, Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff


Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information
